Bealiba Brumbies Contest the Pony Club Polocrosse in Ballarat.

The Weekend of the 10th & 11th Feb 2007 saw Four Bealiba Pony Club members compete in the Pony Club Section of the Ballarat Polocrosse Tournament, the highlight of this was watching the Australian world cup team compete in the Open section of the competition.

The Bealiba team consisted of Toni Weir, Steph Conway, Julia Conway & Abby Rose Fry, Patrick Robinson from Benalla, Anthony Beer from Deniliquin and Brett Fletcher filled in and became part of the Bealiba team for the weekend, and the Bealiba club wishes to thank these three riders very much, and hope they had a great weekend.

Bealiba won all their matches on the Saturday & qualified for the Grand final Sunday morning. The Maldon / Ballarat team had also qualified for the other position in the grand final and as both teams tapped racquets the scene was set for a great final.

The Bealiba team got off to a good start and managed to maintain their lead to the end of the game. Both teams were presented with mementoes from the Ballarat club, a glass recognising winners & runners up in the presence of the Australian team.

Toni Weir was awarded the best No1 & Julia Conway the best No 3, Anthony Beer who played for Bealiba was awarded the Best No 2.
